Josiah Gillespie‘s first release on Minor Artists is a cross-section of life, frozen in time; family, friendships and fallouts laid beside one another in all their hopefulness and loss.

It’s a stolen moment, a chance to explore the present, no matter how unclear the future.

Gillespie and long-standing musical ally Ebenezer worked with a ‘gut instinct’ principle to shape the songs. Gillespie’s native sense for rustic folk tunes sits front and centre, beset on all sides by orchestral touches and creeping electronica. Bright Eyes or Low would feel right at home here.

This EP is a curiousity, a memento, a photograph; and it’s free to download.
